THE GENEVA CENTRE IS COMMITTED TO CONDUCTING RESEARCH THAT IS TRULY INDEPENDENT AND PROVIDES INSIGHTS ABOUT HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUES. THE GENEVA CENTRE’S RESEARCH POLICY IS NEEDS DIRECTED.

It aims to focus its research efforts where they are most valuable, and to identify areas where existing mechanisms are not fully equipped to promote, protect, or respect human rights. The objectives of our publications are to enlighten stakeholders about the Centre’s activities and to identify solutions to advance the promotion of human rights at the global level.

COVID-19 AND RIGHT TO EDUCATION: CURRENT IMPACT AND FUTURE CONSEQUENCES (2021)

On 25 March 2021, the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue organized an online panel entitled “COVID-19 and Right to Education: Current Impact and Future Consequences”. The present publication includes a summary of the proceedings and the full statements of the panel presentations, as well as an analytical article which builds upon the lessons learned from the panel.

For the Geneva Centre, the sanitary measures adopted in 2020 considerably restricted initially planned projects. However, the Centre rapidly adapted to the new circumstances, found additional paths to fulfil its mission, and in fact stepped up its efforts and activities. The present report provides details of these.
