The Human Rights Chronicle is a periodic publication designed to bridge the gap between academic research and practical engagement in the field of human rights.
At a time when navigating reliable information can be increasingly challenging despite the abundance of high-quality research, the Chronicle provides a platform for relevant and insightful contributions to contemporary human rights debates.
Each edition is structured around the Centre’s three core thematic areas: Global Governance & Inclusive Societies; Climate Change and Human Rights; and Digital Transformation, Business and Human Rights; while maintaining a particular focus on developments affecting the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
In addition to contributions from experts and practitioners, the Chronicle now also actively features research and analysis by emerging scholars, including Master’s and PhD researchers as well as young professionals. This reflects the Centre’s commitment to supporting the next generation of human rights researchers and practitioners, and to fostering dialogue between established and emerging voices in the field.
The Chronicle also includes updates on key developments, as well as events and initiatives led by the Centre and its partners.
Through this initiative, the Geneva Centre aims to strengthen the connection between research and practice and to contribute meaningfully to the global human rights discourse.
