The Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue successfully concluded 2-day online training course on “Cybersecurity for Human Rights Professionals” from 27th to 28th April 2023, aiming to empower human rights professionals with the necessary tools to navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape. The course had 15 participants from diverse regions who broadened their knowledge and skills.
This intensive training course catered to organizations, journalists, lawyers, and individuals interested in human rights. The participants expressed their satisfaction with the training, highlighting that the knowledge gained during the sessions would help them protect human rights better in their respective fields, especially in regard to cybersecurity issues. The training significantly boosted their capacity to navigate the complexities of digital security, enabling them to stay ahead of potential cyber threats.
The course was conducted in collaboration with Kamal Sedra, a cybersecurity expert with over 20 years of experience in civil society organizations, media, and businesses, and the founder and director of eduCYBER Sàrl, a cybersecurity consulting firm based in Switzerland.
