The Geneva Centre is glad to issue its November 2024 Newsletter featuring the new projects initiated and the main activities carried out by the Centre from June to November 2024.
The Newsletter no.14 offers a spotlight on two events organized by the Geneva Centre dedicated respectively to shedding light into development, water and gender impacts of the Gaza war, and empowering youth in promoting environmental rights and climate justice.
Furthermore, the November Newsletter announces a new research project onwomen’s economic rights in the MENA region, a brand-new setting for its well-known Human Rights Recognitions Awards, as well as human rights conferences and pilot training projects all along the 2024 Human Rights Weekin the United Arab Emirates!
Under its flagship HRC Reporting Initiative, the Geneva Centre monitored and reported on the 57th regular session of the UN Human Rights Council and a pre-sessional presidential initiative dedicated to artificial intelligence, new and emerging technologies, and the digital divide.
All along the last few months, the Geneva Centre actively pursued its human rights awareness activities through the power of videos for international commemorative days and Scientific Café interviews featuring researchers and academic experts who walk the audience through the intersections among migration, business, and human rights.
