Human Rights Recognition Awards (HRRA) 2025 – Meet This Year’s Honourees
The Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue is pleased to announce the recipients of the Human Rights Recognition Awards 2025.
This year’s theme, Human Rights in the Digital Age: Accountability, Freedom, Respect, highlights work that strengthens rights and protections in digital environments.
The HRRA 2025 Ceremony will take place on Saturday, 13 December 2025, at the Warwick Hotel in Geneva. The event will bring together partners, experts, and awardees dedicated to advancing human rights in the digital age.

Institutional Award Category – Ethical Technology and Human Rights Impact
Amnesty Tech – United Kingdom
Amnesty Tech focuses on the human impact of digital technologies. Their work looks at areas such as online platforms, surveillance systems, and artificial intelligence. Individual Award Category – Defending Freedom of Expression Online
Sonal Badruddin Karim – Pakistan
Sonal Badruddin Karim works to make online spaces safer for women, young leaders, and marginalised communities. She founded Parindey Wellbeing and Development Foundation and contributes to national efforts to expand youth leadership. She is listed in the 2025 Senior List of World Kind Leaders.

Individual Award Category – Ethical AI and Human Rights Protection
Daniela Camberos – Mexico
Daniela Camberos leads work on responsible artificial intelligence that protects people from digital exploitation and discrimination. Through her platform RAMONA, she built an AI system that identifies trafficking risks and reduces bias in employment.

Honorary Award Category – Ethical Technology and Human Rights Impact
HURIDOCS – Human Rights Information and Documentation Systems, International – Switzerland
HURIDOCS supports human rights defenders with secure, open-source tools that protect and organise sensitive information. For over four decades, it has helped organisations improve documentation practices and advance justice efforts.
