Geneva Centre and Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy Forge Strategic Partnership with MoU Signing

Geneva, 17 February 2025 – The Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue (GCHRAGD) and the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) UAE signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today in Geneva.

The agreement was formalized by Dr. Umesh Palwankar, Executive Director of the Geneva Centre; Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director General of AGDA; and Abdullah Al Ameri, Director of Operations and Support at AGDA. This partnership builds on a growing relationship between the two institutions, which first took shape in December 2024 with a joint panel discussion titled ‘Diplomacy’s Role in Advancing Human Rights Education’ at AGDA in Abu Dhabi as part of the Geneva Centre’s Human Rights Awareness Week.

Dr. Umesh Palwankar emphasized the importance of the agreement, stating, “This partnership is a vital step in fostering meaningful collaboration between the GCHRAGD and AGDA”.

Under the terms of the MoU, both institutions will work closely to implement joint conferences and panel events, research projects, specialized training programs, and discussions that reflect their shared vision. By deepening this collaboration, the Geneva Centre and AGDA reaffirm their dedication to fostering an environment where diplomacy and human rights work hand in hand.
