18 March 2026. The Geneva Centre expresses deep concern over the ongoing and rapidly escalating hostilities in the Gulf region, involving direct military operations by the United States of America and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the subsequent retaliatory strikes by Iranian forces across multiple Gulf States and against U.S. and allied military assets.
On 21 November 2025, the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue, jointly with Prof Surya Deva, UN Special Rapporteur on the right to development, convened an international conference entitled “Climate inequality, human rights and sustainable development” at the Palais des Nations.
On 16 December 2025, the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue, in partnership with the Permanent Mission of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the UN in Geneva, convened a panel event entitled “Addressing Women’s and Girls’ Right to Health in Humanitarian and Refugee Contexts: Overcoming Barriers to Ensure Data-Driven Responses” at the Palais des Nations. The event was held in the framework of the Global Refugee Forum Progress Review 2025.
