The Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue is organizing this sub-regional MENA focused human rights training course for Arabic language speakers, conducted in English, with 3 of the 9 lectures to be given in Arabic.
This five-day online training course has been designed to provide participants with basic knowledge of human rights law, an overview of the Human Rights Council (HRC), its methods and mechanisms, an introduction to the HRC’s Universal Periodic Review, the HRC’s Special Procedures and the differences between Human Rights Law and International Humanitarian Law.
The lectures with a specific MENA region focus include regional trends and challenges in human rights in the MENA region, and the protection and promotion of children’s & women’s rights in the region.
