Valentina PASCALESenior Project Officer
Valentina Pascale, an Italian national, is Senior Project Officer at the Geneva Centre. She is in charge of the management, planning and implementation of several projects, including training programmes, conferences and panel discussions. Ms. Pascale is also responsible for building effective partnerships and constructive relationships with community groups in the MENA region, as well as with appropriate international organizations and agencies. She regularly represents the organization at various conferences and other related events.
Before joining the Geneva Centre as Project Officer in March 2014, Ms. Pascale worked in the private sector in Italy and then started her international career with an internship at the Permanent Delegation of the European Union (EU) to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva.
Ms. Pascale holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations and an M.A. in International Relations and Institutions of Asia and Africa, both summa cum laude, from the University of Naples “L’Orientale”. While completing her Master’s degree, she was an Erasmus exchange student at the University of Geneva. During her studies, she was very active in the international arena and took part in the New York City Nation Model United Nations (NMUN), where she successfully represented Yemen and was awarded an honourable mention, as well as in Geneva International Model United Nations (GIMUN), where she was Liaison Officer and co-chaired the sixth committee (Legal) of the UN General Assembly. She is currently completing an Executive Master in International Law in Armed Conflict at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
Ms. Pascale speaks Italian, English, French, Spanish and Japanese, and is currently learning Arabic.
