Human rights should be essential drivers of national policy in every nation in the world. At the Geneva Centre, we recognise that increased awareness about the importance of human rights is the first and most important step we can take in this direction.

To this end, we collaborate with relevant actors to hold exhibitions and other cultural events and we develop specific communication strategies aimed at raising awareness about human rights.

Every program is designed with the specific aims and objectives of our participants in mind; government officials are invited to discuss ways to harmonise human rights law and national law, diplomats can learn how to deepen their participation in human rights mechanisms, and students are encouraged to understand human rights, respect difference, and resist extremism.
