15 January 2018, GENEVA – Webster University in Geneva represented by Dr. Oreste Foppiani - Head of the Department of International Relations and Associate Professor of International History & Politics – and the Founder and President of Citizens United Switzerland – Ms Ngoneh Panneh - have today signed the 2017 Geneva Declaration entitled “Mobility and human solidarity, a challenge and an opportunity for Europe and the MENA region.”

Executive Director of the Geneva Centre to attend Al-Azhar conference in Cairo on the situation in Jerusalem

15 January 2018, GENEVA – The Executive Director of the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue H. E. Ambassador Idriss Jazairy will participate and address the adverse human rights impacts of the worsening situation in Al-Quds / East Jerusalem.

The conference will be held at the Al-Azhar International Conference Center in Cairo (Egypt) from 17 to 18 January 2018. It will be arranged under the joint auspices of the Council of Muslim Elders and Al-Azhar.

Civil society organizations and specialists pledge to address the plight of people on the move in Europe and the MENA region through the adoption of a Geneva Declaration

11 January 2018, GENEVA – In response to the protracted migrant and refugee crisis that has affected primarily Europe and the MENA region, a coalition of international organizations took the initiative to adopt the 2017 Geneva Declaration entitled “Mobility and human solidarity, a challenge and an opportunity for Europe and the MENA region” pledging increased cooperation between decision-makers to address the adverse impact of the crisis.

Centre expanding its partnerships with prominent international missions and organisations

Geneva, Switzerland: Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and the Global Dialogue has achieved significant success in hosting diverse activities in 2017, according to its annual report and activities released in Geneva on Saturday.

These achievements culminated in 2017 by granting the United Nations Economic and Social Council the status of “Consultative Status” for the Geneva Centre for Human Rights and the Global Dialogue.

20 December 2017, GENEVA – On the occasion of the 2017 International Day of Human Solidarity observed on 20 December, the Chairman of the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue H. E. Dr. Hanif Hassan Ali Al Qassim calls for peace for and human solidarity with, the Rohingya minority in Myanmar.

The Geneva Centre’s Chairman emphasized that the forcible expulsion of more than 600,000 Rohingya from Myanmar to neighbouring Bangladesh has contributed to aggravate the dire human rights and humanitarian situation in Rakhine State.
