GENEVA, 23 May 2017 - The Chairman of the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue (“The Geneva Centre”) H. E. Dr. Hanif Hassan Ali Al Qassim attended on 21 May the Annual Gala Dinner arranged by the UAE Harvard Kennedy School Alumni Network in Dubai.
The gala dinner was attended by several renowned personalities representing various communities of the UAE society including the UAE Minister of State for Tolerance H. E. Sheikha Lubna Khalid Al Qasimi.
Attendees also included Harvard and non-Harvard affiliates, honoured guests and representatives from governmental institutions, academia and private sector in the UAE and in Gulf countries.
During the gala dinner’s opening ceremony, a keynote speech was delivered by the UAE Minister of State for Tolerance. H. E. Sheikha Lubna Khalid Al Qasimi stated that the UAE “embraces more than 200 nationalities living and working in dignity, appreciation, harmony, fairness, equality and respect, where members of the community contribute positively to knowledge enrichment.”
The Chairman of the Geneva Centre re-iterated the views of the Minister of State for Tolerance describing the gala event as “a symbol of UAE’s diversity and social harmony.”
The Geneva Centre’s Chairman Dr. Al Qassim was previously a participant of the Harvard Executive Training Program (May 2003) and a visiting scholar at the Harvard School of Law in Boston (1996).
