Statement on International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict

On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict 2018, celebrated on the 19th of June, the Chairman of the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue, H. E. Dr. Hanif Hassan Ali Al Qassim reiterates the need to put an end to the scourge of conflict-related sexual violence around the world, and to combat the fear and cultural stigma that converge to prevent the vast majority of survivors of conflict-related sexual violence from reintegrating societies.

Dr. Hanif Hassan Ali Al Qassim - highlighted the importance of promoting freedom of the press to facilitate “good governance and transparent societies.”
